I thought I would make a new collection on the blog today, one with recipes by Delicious and easy to make fasting cakes. I have a few more collections with fasting recipes, organized on the blog, you can find them HERE, HERE and HERE. Searching the blog these days for the recipe for a fasting cake, I realized that it is harder to find, so I started organizing these recipes by putting them at hand in one place.

Maybe they are not so many fasting cakes but I also have some cake or muffin recipes, there are also croissants or fasting pies and even some fasting cakes, so you would have a place to get inspired when needed, in case who do not like anything from this category of fasting cakes, a category that I promise you will enrich in the future with other recipes.

To be honest, I kind of avoid fasting cakes because, not being able to lay eggs or dairy products, the lack of good taste given by them is compensated by a quantity that is a bit too much for my taste of oil and sugar.

I will do more experiments in the future and, if I manage to find something to my taste, the recipes for future fasting cakes will definitely reach the blog. Until then, however, I leave you with inspiration for the fasting cake recipes you see below.

6 Recipes for fasting cakes

Fasting coconut tart recipe

Ingredients for coconut tart:

  • For the dough
  • 200 g coconut flakes
  • 40 g coconut flour (normal goes, of course)
  • 130 g (9 tablespoons) unrefined coconut oil at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of salt.
  • For the filling:
  • 590 ml coconut milk (almost 1 and a half cans)
  • 90 grams of caster sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 60 grams of corn starch.
  • For decoration
  • 400 g of fruit & # 8211 of your choice.

Coconut tart

How to prepare coconut tart:

Combine ingredients for dough well. Line the tray with the dough. Put the tray in the oven for 8-12 minutes. Then let it cool completely and put it in the fridge.

For the filling

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 400 ml of coconut milk with sugar and salt, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.

Mix the rest of the coconut milk with the starch until smooth. Take the pan off the heat and pour in the combination of coconut milk and starch. Stir well. After mixing, put everything back on the fire.

Lower the heat and let it cook, stirring continuously for 1 minute. Do not leave on the fire after the composition thickens, the structure of the starch and implicitly of the filling will be damaged.

Remove from the heat, add the vanilla and coconut oil. Allow to cool to room temperature and then pour over the tart crust in the refrigerator.

Refrigerate for an hour before adding the fruit. You have prepared the best fasting coconut tart.

Fasting cake recipe with nuts

Ingredients for the nut cake:

  • 500 g of flour
  • 300 g sugar
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ampoule of rum essence
  • 10 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • powdered sugar for garnish.

Method of preparation

Put in a bowl the sugar, oil, water, salt powder and rum essence. Mix all ingredients well and then add the flour mixed with baking powder and baking soda. For this cake with fasting nuts you can use different types of nuts, not only the classic, Romanian ones. Mix the flour well so that it does not remain lumpy, then add the chopped walnuts.

Grease the cake tin with oil and cover with flour, then pour the composition. Put the cake in the oven, and when it is ready, take it out, leave it to cool, then powder it with sugar.

Black fasting recipe

Ingredients for fasting blackberry:

  • 280 g flour
  • 240 ml of water
  • 250-280 g sugar
  • 100 g cocoa powder
  • 80-100 ml oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 vials of vanilla essence
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda / baking powder
  • OPTIONAL: powdered sugar for decoration.

Fasting black & # 8211 cakes

Preparation: To start, preheat the oven to a high degree and line a tray with baking paper.

In a large bowl, add the flour and top with the rest of the dry ingredients: cocoa, salt, baking soda and sugar. Mix the composition of the fasting blackberry very well with a whisk until you all notice a homogeneous composition. Pour water, oil and vanilla essence over the dry composition. Mix everything well with a whisk until you get a fairly liquid but homogeneous dough.

Pour the blackberry dough into the pan. Even out the dough with a spatula or gently move the tray until the composition is perfectly set. Put the fasting blackberry in the oven and turn the heat to medium to low for 30 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool. When the fasting blackberry has cooled, powder it with sugar and cut into equal portions. Also, for extra flavor, you can add over the portion of fasting blackberry and a layer of chocolate or ice cream!

Fasting cake recipe with carrots

Ingredients carrot cake:

  • 320 ml soy milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds (or chia)
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 200 g flour
  • 60 g coconut
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • a baking soda powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 70 g coconut butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • vanilla essence
  • 2 grated carrots
  • 1/2 canned pineapple
  • a pinch of salt.

Fasting cake with carrots

Cream ingredients:

  • 100 g coconut butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • vanilla essence
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 300 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy milk.

Method of preparation:

Prepare the countertop:
Combine soy milk with apple cider vinegar and mix. Set it aside for 5-10 minutes. Hydrate flax or chia seeds in 3 tablespoons of water and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, combine the flour with coconut, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt powder. Separately, beat the sugar with the coconut butter, then add the soy milk and hydrated seeds.

Incorporate the liquid ingredients into the dry ones, add the finely chopped carrot and pineapple. Pour the composition into a pan and put it in the preheated oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

Cream preparation:

For the cream, combine the coconut butter with the lemon juice, vinegar, vanilla essence, then gradually add the powdered sugar, while mixing. After obtaining a homogeneous consistency, thin it a little with 1-2 tablespoons of soy milk.

Cut the top in 2 in height, if the cake came out high enough and spread 1/2 the amount of cream between the tops, and spread the other half on top. If the countertop is not thick enough to be halved, spread the glaze just above it. You have prepared the tastiest fasting carrot cake.

Lent chocolate truffle recipe

Chocolate truffle ingredients:

  • 200 g of popular biscuits
  • 300 g dark chocolate
  • 130 ml almond / soy / coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons raisins
  • 1 teaspoon rom essence
  • 150 g coconuts.

Method of preparation:

Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds followed by mixing, until completely liquefied. Incorporate almond milk, soy or coconut milk little by little, alternately with the incorporation of finely chopped biscuits. Add sugar, raisins and rum essence. After obtaining a homogeneous paste, refrigerate it for 20-30 minutes, until the paste thickens and can be easily handled. Roll the truffles between your palms and then roll them through the coconut. Done, you can enjoy the best fasting chocolate truffles.

Lenten cake with pineapple

Pineapple cake ingredients:

  • 1 canned pineapple slices + 1 canned pineapple pieces
  • 280 g flour
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/2 sachet of baking powder.

Method of preparation:

Line a cake pan with 1 tablespoon oil and 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar. Place the pineapple slices on top of the sugar layer. Mix the flour with the remaining sugar and baking powder. Mix canned pineapple pieces (including juice) with dry ingredients.

Hi. Too good! & # 8211 These fasting Polish pretzels, which can easily be turned into martyrs, on March 9th.

Just model them in the shape of 8. I did them last year and I will do them this year as well.

They are absolutely delicious! Moi, fragrant, with super fasting dough. Package vouchers, dessert vouchers or breakfast, as you choose. I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Ingredients Polish post cover

  • 500-550 g of white flour
  • a cube of fresh yeast
  • 250 ml of freshly squeezed orange juice & 250 ml of commercial juice, without acid
  • a sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 120 g of sugar
  • a teaspoon tip of the tumor
  • a teaspoon of grated orange peel and lemon
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • sugar syrup or honey
  • esenta de rom
  • oil for greasing the dough

How to prepare fasting Polish pretzels.

In a bowl put the yeast, 3 tablespoons of flour and gradually a little warm water, while mixing. You need to get a creamy consistency, which you leave in a warm place for 10-15 minutes.

Put the sugar in the orange juice, adding the grated peel, turmeric and vanilla sugar.

Put on low heat, stirring gently to melt the sugar. The juice should be just a warm idea, not hot.

In a large bowl put flour, olive oil, salt and yeast mixture.

Gradually add the warm juice and start mixing, then knead an elastic dough.

Cover it with a clean napkin and leave it in a warm place for an hour, to double its volume.

When it has grown, turn it over on the oiled top and divide it into 10 equal parts.

Take each ball and spread it thin, rectangular & # 8211 table to be greased with oil.

Lightly grease with oil with a brush, then wrap in a roll & # 8211 see images during cooking.

Cut the roll in half, leaving a cm at the end & # 8211 I used the pizza cutter.

Grab the two ends obtained and twist them, then join the ends and give the shape of the pretzel. The more patience you have, the more beautiful they will come out.

Transfer to a tray lined with baking paper and place the tray in the oven which you preheated.

After 20 minutes, the pretzels start to brown, carefully remove the tray and brush all the pretzels well, then insert the tray again.
